Who we are

Master Dwellings (“we”, “us”) provides building, renovation and home insulation services across London and the surrounding areas. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect, and why

We only collect information you choose to give us. There are two ways that happens.

When you send an enquiry

Our contact form asks for your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your message. A phone number is optional. We use this solely to understand what you need and to reply to you.

Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who ask us to quote for work.

When you subscribe to our newsletter

We collect your email address and nothing else. We use it to send occasional property maintenance advice. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us.

Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you like.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use two service providers to run this website:

• Resend — delivers the email your enquiry generates and stores newsletter subscriptions.
• Vercel — hosts this website and serves its pages.

Both act as our processors and may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses apply.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Cookies

This website uses one cookie, and only when you begin using one of our forms:

• md.csrf — a security token that confirms a form submission genuinely came from this website rather than being forged by another site. It expires after one hour, cannot be read by JavaScript, and contains nothing that identifies you.

This is a strictly necessary cookie under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, so it does not require your consent and there is no cookie banner on this site.

We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking of any kind. If that ever changes we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries — kept while we are in contact and for up to six years afterwards if we carry out work for you, which matches the period during which a contract claim can be brought.
• Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
• have inaccurate information corrected;
• ask us to delete it, in some circumstances;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
• ask us to transfer it to another provider;
• withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email info@masterdwellings.com. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Keeping it secure

This site is served entirely over HTTPS. Our forms are protected against cross-site request forgery and rate limited against abuse, and enquiry data is passed straight to our email provider rather than being stored in a website database.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
